“The Ninth Floor” by Jessica Dimmock is a very moving book about the lives of drug addicts who lived in an apartment in New York.
Also take a look at the multimedia slideshow over at mediastorm.
The only downside of this book are the two page spreads like the ones above in which an essential part of the image is cut in halves across the pages.

I’ll wait from 2nd or 3rd generation of the iPad - I think. That’s what I did with the iPod Touch and the unibody MacBook Pro. Let the first generation customers find all the quirks, let the developers write apps and when the overhauled iPad (with camera please!!!) is released it will probably be a near perfect device.
Another note: the bookshelf thing and the way books are displayed is a 1:1 copy of the iPod touch/iPhone Eucalyptus app, which is great for reading english literature from Project Gutenberg.
Whoa. “This little box has, inside it, some kind of circuitry that harvests WiFi energy out of the air and converts it into electricity. This has been done before, but the Airnergy is able to harvest electricity with a high enough efficiency to make it practically useful: on the CES floor, they were able to charge a BlackBerry from 30% to full in about 90 minutes, using nothing but ambient WiFi signals as a power source.” (via ianwestcott :OhGizmo)
So I could plug this into my iPod Touch and recharge it with the wifi signals it emits. Endless power cycle. Well not really, that won’t work but it would be nice.

Yashica T5 / T4 Super
Paid 30€ for it on eBay because it was sold as defective. I took the risk. Turns out the seller just couldn’t figure out how to load film. Savings: around 100€

Contax T3 in mint condition - finally! I searched for one for over 3 years. These are hard to get in Europe. This one even has a low, 4 digit serial number and thus was one of the first produced. Ironically it was much more expensive than a current digital camera (for example my Lumix LX3).
Now I just need a mint T2 and Yashica T5 (T4 Super) and maybe a champagne Olympus mju-II (Stylus Epic) to complete my collection p&s cameras.
